Ballard Spahr has a new and exciting opportunity available in the Washington, DC office for an Operations Coordinator. As part of a hands-on collaborative team, this position will assist with daily operations, human resources and administrative projects for the office management team. This position coordinates and collaborates on routine human resources, administrative, facilities, accounting, vendor, event planning and other ad-hoc projects.
Candidates considered will be proactive self-starters; able to work well both independently and within a team and have demonstrated experience maintaining high quality work products in a fast-paced legal environment.
This position requires a high degree of proficiency and advanced skill level with document management (iManage) and Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Outlook and Excel. The selected individual must possess strong administrative, time management, organizational, communication and diplomacy skills to handle administrative tasks with keen attention to detail. Successful candidates will have the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment while working in a team atmosphere. Flexibility to work occasional overtime, when necessary.
Requirements include 2+ years' experience working in an operational or human resources role in a law firm or similar setting. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional services organization is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel required. Prior experience with a document management system, a plus.
