Human Resources – Presently an 8-person team that is expected to grow to 15 over the next 3-5 years. The COO will be responsible for recruiting, screening, and managing in support of the firm’s staffing objectives. You will collaborate with the firm’s shareholders to identify our personnel needs and develop candidate screening criteria. You will develop recruitment campaigns, conduct interviews, and manage the firm’s employee onboarding process. You will also be responsible for fulfilling other human resources functions, including day-to-day staff management, compensation and benefits management, and scheduling. Our COO will also be responsible for maintaining the firm’s personnel files, its employee handbook, and supporting attorney compliance with state licensing and continuing legal education requirements.
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable – Our COO will also be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable/payable Department and coordinating with the firm’s bookkeeper and CPA. This department is responsible for client billing, management of accounts receivable and payable and production of related reports for shareholder review.
Technology – This is a technology-driven law firm. The COO will be responsible for managing the IT team and department. Responsibilities include developing strategies to assemble and maintain a technology suite critical to meeting the firm’s growth and production goals. The COO interacts directly with the firm’s Information Technology Consultants to ensure the firm has the appropriate technology in place for all employees.
This is an executive-level position that reports directly to the firm’s shareholder board.
