Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm serving clients across the Americas, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to support its Washington, DC office.  The successful candidate should be highly motivated with a minimum of three (3) years’ law firm experience in the areas of Litigation and Corporate, including experience in case management and electronic filing in state and federal courts.  Healthcare experience is helpful.  The ideal candidate should possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), work effectively in a team setting, and must be able to communicate with attorneys and co-workers effectively and efficiently.  Typing, strong calendaring, organizational and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, this candidate must have exceptional time management skills, ability to exercise discretion, be responsive, proactive, and detail-oriented. Other job duties may include: heavy caseload file maintenance, making travel arrangements, preparing and submitting expense reports, time and data entry, and other various duties as assigned.
