Ballard Spahr LLP has an exciting opportunity available in the Washington DC office for a Project Assistant in the Housing Finance practice group. The position assists the legal administrative assistants and lawyers with document production and the post-closing process. Candidates considered will be proactive self-starters; able to work well both independently and within a team and have demonstrated experience maintaining high quality work products in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the office.
The selected individual must possess strong administrative, time management, organizational, communication and diplomacy skills to handle administrative tasks in a law firm with keen attention to detail. Successful candidates will have the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment while working in a team atmosphere.
Ideal candidate will have 6 months to 1 year experience in a real estate group in a law firm, title company or other commercial real estate setting and understand the cycle of a commercial real estate transaction. This position requires a high degree of proficiency and advanced skill level with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Outlook. College degree preferred.
