Ballard Spahr, a national law firm with 15 U.S. locations is seeking a Surveys and Rankings Assistant to join our Marketing Communications team.  The Assistant will be responsible for helping the Surveys and Rankings Senior Specialist with preparing all survey-related marketing responses and administrative projects on behalf of the firm, its legal departments and practice groups, offices, and other specialty areas.  This position offers a remote work arrangement if located in Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Washington, DC with the expectation to work in the office, as needed.

The Surveys & Rankings Assistant will:

  • Collaborate with Surveys and Rankings Senior Specialist on the timely preparation and submission of Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers/Best Law Firms, Business Journal and other survey and ranking submissions for the Firm.
  • Maintain Recognition and Rankings Database, ensuring all content is up to date and accurate.
  • Update survey subscriptions and profile content; process relevant invoices.
  • Coordinate research interviews for attorneys with rankings organizations.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Technology team on content entry for experience database.
  • Work with Communications team on rankings updates for website, bios, press releases, and social media posts.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to Surveys & Rankings function.

The assistant must be detail oriented and organized with the focus to sustain a high level of quality and consistency at all times. This position requires a flexible approach and a penchant for proactive communication.  Must be service-minded and have the ability to work independently and maintain a focus on priorities while meeting strict deadlines.  A collaborative, consultative, and inclusive working style is paramount.  A strong sense of urgency and eye for detail are required.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field preferred; Marketing or law firm experience a plus. Must be a team player orientated toward solving problems and creating value and be able to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
